Diabetics STAY AWAY, this product contains dextrose Dextrose is the name of a simple sugar chemically identical to glucose (blood sugar) that is made from corn. While dextrose is used in baking products as a sweetener, it also has medical purposes. Dextrose is dissolved in solutions that are given intravenously, which can be combined with other drugs, or used to increase a person’s blood sugar.I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so was eager to try this in my teas/smoothies, as soon as i saw dextrose in ingredients i threw it in trash

My Nutritionist recommended Stevia as a way to slowly cut out sugar. I tried it - not only does it contain Dextrose (a corn product chemically identical to glucose - blood sugar), but it leaves an bitter after-taste. I actually added a half teaspoon of sugar in my coffee to try and cut the taste - it didn't work. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to cut their sugar intake.

After reading Plant Paradox by Dr. Gundry, I am suppose to avoid corn product to avoid among other things, "gut leak" (bad stuff). Thanks to the customer whose review stated that this is corn product. The foregoing said, I would rather now die from Sweet and Low; I think that it tastes better:))

What a wonderful sweetener. I used to use Splenda for all my cooking, but no more. First of all, I must comment on the packaging - it was wonderful. The actual sweetener comes in small, individual, rectangular packages. It's so handy! And cute! Anyway, about using it in cooking - my husband Horatio is the definition of a picky eater. He won't eats any foods unless they start with the letters S, O and P (it's a long story). I used to cook his Okra in beer, salt and pork fat until one day I mistakenly put in sugar instead of salt. He loved it! Because he's so fat (another long story) I worry about him falling dead so I started substituting Splenda. He loved it! So here we are. As I'm writing this, I'm cooking his favorite - Pickles, Sauerkraut and Oats sprinkled with Stevia in the Raw! Oh hurrah! Hurrah for Horatio!

i loved this till someone pointed out, it has dextrose- omg which is sugar? whats the point of making a great plant based sweetner, stevia, so many health benefits, like good for sugar issues etc then adding sugar? guess its 1/2 good since it has stevia but i will be paying closer attention to what ingredients are as i want a more natural product without sugar.

Note that this is NOT plain stevia. With a name like this, I would have never thought to assume it had ingredients beyond stevia leaf extract.

I have tried many different types/brands of stevia over the last few years, and although I have yet to try all of them, so far this one is my favorite. I'm sure there probably are "purer" and "better" ones out there, but they are also probably much more expensive. I have found this one to be exceptional in terms of its flavor (no bitterness or aftertaste). Highly recommended.

Online product description indicates "Zero Calorie." Actual box received says, "Each packet contains less than 4 calories per serving." Just four (4) calories, you say? Yes agreed, but this is a 50 count box. What began as a four (4) calorie uncertainty at the packet-level, now escalates into a 200 calorie dilemma per box. 200 calories! That's the equivalent of a Nature's Bakery Raspberry Fig Bar (twin pack). Outrageous!

Sweet without the bitter aftertaste. I can't stand Splenda or Sweet & Low, but this tastes way different. It's sweet but it doesn't taste chemical. However, it's not granulated--it's more like powder or dust--so it doesn't work for most baking. It's great for sweetening tea and coffee.

Stevia in the Raw product is a natural sweetener. It is a South American herb used for centuries. Stevia rebaudiana plant leaves have a refreshing taste, zero glycemic index, zero carbs and zero calories. I have used Stevia in the Ray for coffee, tea and smoothies. I first became aware on a national physician's daily TV show in which the benefits were explained. Glad I made the switch.

Really disliked the flavor. Threw it away. Suggest you use honey or reduce sugar rather than use this product.

This is not stevia. First ingredient is dextrose, followed by stevia leaf extract. Dextrose is a sweetener derived from GMO corn.

I want to cut down some calories lately and I have been drinking lot of coffee with sugar. I need a 0 calorie sweetner and stevia is a great substitute for it. These come in packets so I take a few to work. You cant expect to have an exact taste like sugar but this tastes pretty much like other stevia products.

I love this brand of Stevia. It doesn't have a chemically flavor like other alternative sweeteners. I sprinkle just one packet over a bowl of strawberries, or sometimes I add a packet to a smoothie or coffee...it's great! I love it. It doesn't give me diarrhea or headaches, nothing.

Very good product, and a little goes a long way. I use it in my oatmeal, one packet:1/2 cooked. I add to fruit as well but equally small amount. I avoid sweet, baked goods. Of all the sweeteners, I prefer stevia.

This is my first time trying Stevia. It's sweet but I thought it had a strange taste. I guess I am used to sugar. I will use it but I am disappointed in the flavor.
