I installed one of the filters and started pouring water into it. Water came out and it was the color of urine. I put several cups through the filter and then tested new water. It showed more contamination that the tap water. I tried a second filter and it was about half as bad. I returned them as not good at all. I don't believe they are genuine filters.

My filters arrived in an unmarked cardboard box, but I didn't think much of it because they were individually packaged in plastic consistent with the brand. I was a little worried to see that the filters were wet inside, but I thought that maybe it was normal. These filters barely lasted any time (less than 2-3 weeks) before the water tasted unbelievably acidic and fishy, and it had a TDS reading higher than my tap water. When I went to re-order the filters, I was absolutely disgusted to read that other people had the same issues and that these filters may have been used. I will not be buying them from Amazon again.

Love these. They filter everything even from our harsh chemical tasting tap water. Only drawback is that they are designed to Time-release a gross flavor when they want to be replaced. I say “want” because the tester still reads no particulates in the water when this occurs which is annoying. Otherwise they would last even longer.

Not sure what the amazon regulations are but I am a huge fan of ZERO water. Both times I have purchased through amazon the filters came faulty. First use and the PPM was the same as my tap water, this happened with about 7/8 different filters. Did absolutely nothing! When I order direct from zero water.com I get a perfect high quality water system. Makes me not trust the middle man a little...just sayin

I have had a Zero Water filtering system for years and lately these filters are lasting about a 1/4 of the time and than quickly going to nasty water quickly. I don't know if the company has changed something in the filters so that you have to change them more frequently, therefore leaving you with having to go through you supply of filters much faster. I would say my last 12 filters have been this way.Perhaps using one of the other filters would work better.

I ordered a brand new filter. They sent me a used or refurbished filter. When I open the filter, the filter has a lot of water on it. Also, I tested the water after I installed the new filter. It did not turn the water to zero. It shows 0.02. I return it within a couple of hours. Do not buy this—waste of money.

The quality of the filters has been exponentially going down, to the point were the filters just don't do anything. The filtration is like trying to filter through a rock, nothing goes through. When you get a filter that "works" it lasts 50% of what they used to. Wish I could get my money back, but you have to open the filter, use it, and then what once you find out it doesn't work? Note: customer service responded and were very helpful sending replacement filters free of charge.

I am sorry to say, very disappointed in the performance of the Zero water filter replacement filters. Seems like we are getting ripped off. 1st of 4 filters I ordered worked a few days then slowed to a halt on filtration , second filter of the 4 I ordered worked a few days then slowed to a crawl on filtration. I believe the quality of the replacement filters is far less than the original than sold which leads me to believe a rip off is being perpetrated by Zero Water. The tap water we are using is not that heavy in dissolved solids either. Just sayin, part of the game here with Zero Water is to make money on the replacement filters, you should be ashamed!!!!Jeremiah Buchanan

These filters last 3 weeks in my home, family of 5. The prices here on Amazon are better than at the stores in my city.I don't know what these filters leave in the water once they go bad but we can taste it when the water is no longer 000, we can definitely taste at ppm of 003. It tastes worse than regular tap water at that point- but thats when we know to change it. :)Worth the buy here on amazon.

These filters are awesome. Each one lasts about 3 months with daily usage. We filter our water for the humidifier and for our outdoor fountain. We have extremely hard water and by using filtered water, we do not clog up the humidifier and there is no white crust on the outdoor fountain.

These remove any odd taste from the city's tap water, so I've continued to purchase these for a few years. I do return the used ones to the company for recycling since I hate to add to the waste stream, but it does get costly to purchase the filters, especially if returning them for recycling. But the idea of returning to bottled water, with the all the fuel energy it takes to ship, is worth it to me at this time to pay more. Each one lasts me for about 11 gallons or so. Again - not exactly 'cheap' - but Amazon prices are decent, and I do really like how the water tastes. I tend to know when the filter is fading just by the taste since I'm aware of any change - and when I test it - it's usually at about 001 to 002.

Really good product, the only issue is that doesn’t have inside any sensor that could let you know when you have to change the filter...is coming with a manually sensor like termometer and you got to put in inside of water manually for read the state of water, that is the only reason and giving 4 stars...

We have an extreme amount of TDS in our after system ends up coating the inside of our water heater, clogs our coffee maker, and leaves water stains on our shower. I use to use bottled water for all my coffee pots, but The ZeroWater filter has eliminated that issue. Glad to find an economical source for filter replacements.

If you're buying this, you probably already have a container and have already used it before. The one's I got are official zero water filters. The only thing is that they came in a normal box instead of the ones you find at the store, but the filters inside are the real deal.

There was a problem with these filters. I used two different filters and got a 238 rating, not 0. I called the company this morning and he said he would replace these defective filters. The water just ran threw really fast not like my past filters. I am waiting for my replacement filters. The fellow was very helpful and courteous.

The first 3 filters worked well. After installing the last 1, I noticed the water didn't taste any better - usually my water reads around 250...with the "new" filter, it read 151! After banging it on the counter a few times, I was able to get material to settle and best reading was 6....all the rest if the filters gave me a 0 reading for a least a month or so. Will never buy in bulk again.

Bought this set of 4 filters to save a little money since this filters sales at around $15 a piece at my local store, to my surprise this ended up costing me much more since 3 out of the 4 filters were defective. Two of them would not filter the water would just stall on the top recipient, a 3rd filter would not screw up tightly or properly and subsequently unfiltered water was liking from all around the sealing area of the filter. I would have paid $60 for 4 filters at $15 a piece but with this purchase I ended up paying $45 for one good (non-defective) filter out of 4.

Package was received but upon opening one of the filters was defective, it had a crack and it was not usable. I also noticed the plastic material used in the filter is fragile, the quality has certainly suffered since this was purchased in a pack of 4, compared to a pack of 2. Also, the filter doesn't last as long as it had to be changed more often than previous times, even though the water usage was the same. I do not recommend it, I will be buying my filter somewhere else.

I rarely write reviews but I feel like I have an obligation to do so with this purchase. I bought a four pack of filters and have experienced nothing but trouble with them. Mostly they just do not let water through in a timely manner. One would not let any water through at all and had to be immediately replaced and thrown in the garbage. I’m on my last filter and it’s recently gotten to the point where it takes several days to filter water so I figured I’d order replacements via amazon. I was amazed at all the bad reviews with some people stating the same issues I’d had. I decided to order straight from the manufacturer at a significantly higher price. Never thought I’d be saying this about a product bought from amazon, but do not buy this here.

We really liked the idea of Zero Water because of the TDS reader to know you are drinking clean water. My issue is some of these filters leak or expire rather quickly. They are pretty pricey compared to other brands, so for the filters to have issues from time to time and how quickly they need replacing I would probably consider another option.

When I opened a new filter, it was wet inside the plastic cover/bag. When I removed the top cover (for the filter itself), fluid/water came out. Ringed and Soaked it before setting it into a pitcher. Filtered water taste bad and had burning sensation. No more Zero water!!

I keep buying these because my water tastes so crisp and so much better. Each filter lasts about a month with heavy daily use. My city's water has like 200-300 particles on the test reader thingy. This does bring it down to zero.Starts to taste kinda tangy when it's time for a new one. I feel that it's a good value for the price.

I love the filter, it lasts me about a month, I drink almost a half gallon of water a day so longevity is very reasonable. I like the digital reader that came with the pitcher/filter combo. Filters are excellent quality, I trust them which is why i pay the expensive price but if they ever raise the price I will be done. It is definitely at high end price wise.

This is the second package of Zero filters I purchased from Amazon. Both times, these filters lasted less than 2 weeks. The water in my region is fairly decent. When I buy these from the Zero Water company or Bed Bath and Beyond, they last me almost 6 months or longer. Not sure these are legit new Zero water filters. Won’t purchase these from Amazon again.

I contacted Zero Water directly through their website with a screen shot of what I purchased here. They told me these are counterfeit filters. These filters are absolutely disgusting! My original Zero Water filter brought my water down to 0 or near 0 for 9 months. These filters never got my water below 100, and the water has a weird sweet flavor to it. Unfortunately, I wasted my money as my return window closed before I could figure out why these were so bad. Do not buy these filters!

These filters did not live up to the standard of other zero filters that I have purchased. Three of the four gave us problems. One took forever to filtrate; one lasted only a short time, and one did not give a zero indication as it started with some contaminants registering. The 4th is still in the box. If I can locate another supplier I will try that because the Zero Water system is very good, just this batch of filters gets a zero out of 5 stars - pun intended.
