This container does not keep the food warm!! I read the reviews, so I tried to pour hot boiling water prior to putting the really hot food in it, and by the time it is lunch the food is already cold!! and I am talking about 3 hours!!!

They work well! I used the advice and warm them by filling with hot water for a couple minutes before putting hot items in them. I pack my daughter's lunch at 7am, and she says her lunch is always hot - sometimes too hot - at noon. I have not tried them for longer than that.

This is a great container to use for keeping lunch warm. I "preheat" the thermos with some hot water from the tea kettle and after a bit, I dump out the water and add my lunch to the thermos. It works great at keeping the food nice and hot until lunch time.

Bought this for my son's lunchbox because he gets tired of taking sandwiches every day. This has worked great! No complaints whatsoever. Actually, the first time he took this to school, he had to let his food cool off before eating it. It kept it that hot for 5 hours after I packed it that morning!!! Seriously impressed with this product!

The Thermos is cute and small enough to pack in a normal lunchbox and still have room for snacks and sides. Even after pre-heating with hot water, the contents only stayed warm for about 4 hours, so be careful if you have a long stretch between packing and eating. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase

These thermos containers are the best. I send my son chicken noodle soup in it for school and it's still hot at lunch time (once or twice he's told me that it was so hot that he had to let it cool down before he ate it at lunchtime!). I pack it around 7:30 and he eats lunch about noon.

I was so disappointed to find out that the food does not stay hot, and the silicone ring in the lid keeps popping off when I take off the lid to eat lunch. I had to return it because it simply did not serve its purpose.
