I don't know if it's me or the machine. I've tried to make several cups of espresso and can't seem to generate the crema. I've tried different grinds and with my conical burr grinder and I always get the same results. NO CREMA. I've even watched YOUTUBE to see if I'm doing something wrong. No luck, even tried to use a scale to make sure I'm not tamping to hard. Don't know what else to do. Really disappointed, maybe I'm expecting too much from an inexpensive machine.

This version of the machine changed the control knob design to be both smaller and a lot more difficult to turn than prior versions. The combined result is that for someone with arthritis in the hands this is really hard to use. The use of a gripping device is required.

This machine is not very user friendly. It creates a lot of pressure and steam when brewing - which makes the small plastic machine very hot. It does say “caution” regarding the pressure but in order to brew the coffee and then steam the milk, you need to be able to use it consecutively. That’s not possible most of the time as it’s too hot to unscrew the top

When looking for an espresso machine on Amazon, there were so many options that it was hard to know which direction to go. I considered a pricey model, but then decided on the Bella, which was very modestly priced. It ended up being a great value.I was immediately pleased with the machine. Not long after buying it I had a large group of friends over and made lattes for several people. People were impressed with their lattes and wanted to know where I bought the espresso maker. When I told them how inexpensive the machine was, they were surprised. I ended up buying four more of them and giving them away as Christmas gifts this year. I've gotten nothing but good feedback from the people who received them.

I’m not sure how anyone can give this a bad review. Is this the best espresso machine you can get now. For under 40 bucks and made an awesome espresso latte. Plenty of power super easy to use. I like how it’s very tiny so very little counterspace.

I got one of these about 6 months ago. it made espresso ok... but did not make the cream on the top like a lot of the machinesI have had in the past.the major problem was it just quit working after about 5 months. I cleaned it just like the instructions said religiously to no avail. I got disgusted and just junked it. it was pretty cheap, so I guess 5 months of espresso, etc. was about all I could expect froma cheapie Chinese machine...would not buy anything else from this vendor -- especially this machine; as it comes from CHINA. ;>(

its not worth it all i can say i wish if i can get my money back and buy another one. i have to heat the machine first for 5-8 minutes, then you put your coffee and sometimes the machine its not heating right or not at the right temperature. the other thing is you will never be able to use the milk steamer simply because it not good. some people say remove the plastic nozzle and it would work perfectly but no!. its better i guess to make the milk on the stove thats my honest opinion. the cap at the top it should control the pressure in the machine, but i was surprised that it leaked some air out which i would assume it is not supposed to leak steam. i respect the price but if i knew that machine would be like this i would put 100$ to get the Kuprus espresso.

Our old cappuccino maker died. My husband makes us both a cappuccino on the weekends and our old machine was taking 20 minutes to get through the brewing cycle and wouldn't foam at all. I needed a new one. I'd bought a cheap model on Amazon and had to return it since it didn't work so I was hesitant to purchase this one. I am so glad I did. It works super great. Brews quickly and my husband says it makes the best foam of any we've had yet...and it was so inexpensive...relatively speaking. Great purchase. Can't recommend highly enough...for now...longevity to be determined. :)

This machine replaced my almost 20 year old Krups espresso machine. I would not recommend this machine to anyone with arthritis. The one I received is NOT like the one pictured. The knob to turn on the machine and the lid to water well are dome shaped, made of slick plastic and a little difficult/awkward to grip and turn. It takes a little bit longer than my former Krups machine to brew espresso and the coffee does not have the cream top layer. This machine does not make a true shot of espresso but the results are drinkable

Absolutely loving this! It’s been over a year and still works amazing for me! I use it every day and don’t have any problems. My parents are jealous and want one for themselves now!The only issues I’ve faced is I can’t correctly clean the frothier because something got inside and now when I use it it makes a horrible smell

It works ok. But definitely CHEAPLY built. If it could be made out of the thinnest, most brittle plastic, it was. Doesn't have a locking mechanism for the steam chamber when pressurized like my last one. But in the meantime, it will work until I can budget a better espresso machine. I don't anticipate this will work for very long.

The OFF/COFFEE/FROTH selector knob broke in less than 2 weeks.Bella used to be inexpensive but good enough. Now they are inexpensive and not good enough.Krups used to be inexpensive and excellent. Now they are expensive and not excellent (not even good enough).

I've used variations of this coffee maker for many years and I tried to get used to this one. I just couldn't. The dial is so stiff that it's dangerous. I finally gave up and returned it. I don't think I've ever returned a cappuccino maker before but it I'd continued to use it, sooner or later I would have gotten burned.

I bought this to replace my mr. Coffee espresso maker. I thought I would try it because it had a few more bars pressure. However the things that it did not have, such as the ability to make espresso sort of outweighed that. most importantly, the espresso turns out like mud. I've tried everything I can think of. Still mud. Also frustrating, was that all the different pieces and parts were extremely difficult to use. Please bear with me as I don't know the name of all of these. first of all adding the water, there's no way to see how much water you're adding unless you pre measure it. There's no little window. So please be aware that you're going to have to measure it, or use the little pot that comes with it. Next is the way you add the espresso grounds. They go in side a little scoop like thing that screws into the top. this is a typical way that some of the under $100 espresso machines work. And normally they work very easily and very well. And although it's supposed to screw into the toh, it's extremely difficult to get it lined up, and very difficult to actually get it to connect. There's also a little thumb holder that you use to be able to empty out the espresso grounds from that piece. That is inserted into two little holes on the handle. And continually falls off. I've never had these problems before so I'm not really sure what to call these pieces.Even the part the littlest espresso pot sits on doesn't work right. it's a little drain, that sits on top of a little pan,. You supposed to be able to take it off and clean it out. However the little drain has to line up 3 exact little lIps . Which I have yet to be able to figure out how to do. I have yet to be able to make a decent little pot of espresso. When after much effort and aggravation, I get the thing together, and filled with espresso grounds, it produces a nice little pot of mud. I don't know if it's because the little strainer is so much smaller than the adapter, or if the whole machine is just defective. but I'm returning it and going back to mr. Coffee. that one worked well for 10 years. And I'm assuming it'll work well for another 10 when I buy a new one.

I am a starbucks barista and i bought this so I could make lattes from home. This machine makes very weak and watery espresso, but the steam wand is pretty effective. It takes a long time, 3 minutes, to pull shots and even longer to steam. Cleaning is difficult and timely. It mostly sucks. I know its tempting to buy it because its cheap, but you should save up your money and buy a better machine.Overall:Makes crappy espressomakes decent froth/foamTakes a long time to make a pretty crap cup of coffee

I been using this espresso coffee maker for more than a year now. Is been good. I also use real espresso coffee bustelo or pilon. which makes it even better, the only problem is the knob, it gets hard to turn after a few months. Other than that a real good espresso machine.

Purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend to try making her own latte's and latte art and she loves it! For such a low price I wasn't sure what I'd be getting but we were not disappointed. Makes great espresso and the milk frothing wand works good for latte's.Fairly easy to clean and the coffee holder has its own little filter basket which is really convenient.Would recommend!

This espresso machine broke after maybe 6-9 months of having it. I had another one similar made by a different brand and it lasted me years, so i at least expected a year. I used it every day but i also used my other one several times a day and still it lasted forever. If you drink a lot of espresso daily then I would not recommend this to you. Wasted of money.

This is a great little machine for the price. The steamer wand needs to be cleaned well in order to work efficiently and the knob to switch on and off is a bit difficult to turn at times, but overall I’m very satisfied.

This the second one of the Bella Personal Espresso maker I have purchased. First one lasted almost 3 years. This one just over 3 months…. On off switch no longer works. When it worked, it worked great. Will not be replacing it eith same brand this time. Will not be buying it from Amazon either. They hung up on me.

Wish I had bought Mr. Coffee. Unless you make coffee in complete darkness you cannot see if the power light is on or off. The shape of the unit is large and bulky. The nob to open the water container is difficult to turn because you cannot grip it. The brew nob is VERY difficult to turn unless you have extremely strong hands and fingers. It takes exceptional strength to tighten the coffee basket into the locked position. I am not a weakling but you need the strength of Hercules to operate this coffee maker.

Edited: I originally gave this 5 stars, but after only two months of use, it doesn't work at all. The warranty runs out after 1 month, and there's no way to contact the seller, so I guess I'll just have to buy a different machine. Steer clear of this, unless you're willing to pay $50 every two months for a new machine. I should have paid better attention to the negative comments regarding this machine instead of being impressed solely by the positive reviews.

I've never liked this thing! The knob, to turn it from coffee to steam, is hard as heck to turn. It's a bad design that is difficult to grip, and is so tight it's hard to even turn! And now, just 4 months after getting it, it's not working. The water comes pouring out of the steamer while I'm waiting for the coffee to come out. Terrible design and very cheap. I would not recommend this for any reason whatsoever.

I’m very dissatisfied with this purchase. It does not have a high quality feel to the machine or the frothed milk or even the espresso. It is not what I thought it would be. Mr Coffee espresso maker I owned previously was MUCH better than this one. The foam from this maker was very bubbly and looked like something I personally could have done with a whisk. Did not taste like a coffee shop latte. You can even see the coffee grounds in the latte/espresso in the picture.
