Great rolling pin that will never fail you! There are no handles on this pin that will break off while you use it.Beautiful design and does what any rolling pin should do.Before each use I recommend rubbing it down with flour.After each use DO NOT wash with soap, just warm or hot water.

Beautiful quality. Super smooth, nice tapered ends. A dream to make piecrust with. And I love that it’s made in the USA. I am Cdn, but as long as it’s made in North America I am happy. Like the other reviewer said, I saw the famous Chef John using this end it looks so easy when he was making his pie crusts. I had never seen a ruler like this, I’ve always had this big fat one that the dough stuck to all the time. I thought it was just me and my recipe that was the problem, but it was actually my roller!! This roller is outstanding. No sticking. But remember everybody, you have to hand wash these things. Never put this in the dishwasher if you want it to perform well for you for years....

I absolutely love it. It is my first French rolling pin so it has taken me some time to get used to it but it is fantastic! Good size and weight, easily grasped by my hands and very maneuverable. People "complained" about the sticker not coming off completely / being difficult to remove but mine came off fairly easily. It did leave some glue residue but it was easily wiped off with a damp cloth. No trace of it to be seen now. It could be sanded to be a bit smoother using extra fine sandpaper but it's perfectly fine to touch and use as is.

Very easy to use. It was a bit dry when it arrived, so I gave it a rub with some butcher block oil to hydrate the wood. After that, it was great. Just yesterday, I got my kids (3 & 4) to help me make homemade tortillas for tacos. The tapered shape made it very easy for even the little ones to use. Highly Recommended!

This is a quality product, that will last a life time and is a fraction of the price of some of the other gimmick rolling pins. Having a tapered dowel (french rolling pin) makes it very easy to pivot and rotate, as well as focus on small areas of the dough. The shape of this rolling pin is superior to non-tapered rolling pins for maneuverability and getting perfect dough shape and thickness. The maple wood is beautiful, holds flower well so that dough doesn't stick to the pin. It is easy to clean. It is long which is good for any size of dough.

Product looks perfect. Good weight and size.A word of advice for some. I read a lot of unhappy buyers, reviews about the sticker being on the wood. It was, however all you need to do is direct a hot blow drier at it for a few seconds and it comes right off, with zero glue remaining on the wood.A secret trick I was taught a while ago. Hope that helps.

I haven't used it yet, but it looks and feel so lovely! Very excited to make some pies!Many people have struggled with the removal of the sticker, so I thought I would share what I did! It just slid right off!Take a piece of paper towel and dampen it with white vinegar (I'm sure apple cider vinegar would work just fine).Wraps the wet paper towel around the the dowel where the sticker is.Squeeze it well so that the vinegar penetrates the sticker. You can pour more vinger over it to make sure it's well saturated.Let sit for 15-30minutes.Sticker a should come right off with ease!

This rolling pin essentially comes unfinished from the factory. It's so poorly sanded that 150 grit sandpaper makes it smoother... So, not a high quality product and not useable out of the box in my opinion. I progressively sanded it to 600 and finished it with walnut oil. It's pretty nice now, but for an hour of work I'd rather have spent a bit more on a better quality product. Otherwise it's great.

Just wanted to say - it was really easy to peel off the label on mine - I didn't have to soak or anything, and no residue. They must have listened to complaints and changed the glue. Or maybe it only happens when the glue gets old and sticky... In any case, it was placed at the very end of the rolling pin.The dimensions are as stated. It's a solid piece of wood, no laminates like for others I've read. My sister convinced me to get it over a standard one with the handles, and I am very happy she did! Haven't tried it yet in a recipe, but it feels perfectly fine to roll. And it's more compact to store.And I love the fact that it's made right next door, in Vermont!!- not China, like a lot of them.FYI, there is and FRP-2, which is little thinner - if you prefer that. I think it would have worked just as well. But this one happened to be lower priced at the time I bought it.

I've been using this to make pizza throughout the year. The tapered ends make it much easier to handle than my cheap rolling pin and dough comes off clean! Overall, it's beautiful and I'm happy with my purchase, but remember to hand wash without soap and examine for splinters over time because it's made of wood.

It was a game changer for pie crust! It’s light weight so you can add pressure as you’d like vs a heavy rolling pin rendering uneven dough and pressing to stick. Easy to clean and store and good quality.

Great pin, my hands are still getting used to the weight of the dowel and the way it works with dough but unlike the common handled rolling pins it's not threatening to fall apart at every push. For others who perhaps haven't noticed the dowel is not perfectly straight rather is curved I can only encourage that you check out more pictures online so you're not surprised.

Not much to say other than it's perfect. No warps, just a real nice French rolling pin. I found that the kind with the handles (and ball bearings!) would sometimes just push the dough ahead of itself instead of just flattening. Just what I needed.No worries :-)
