It seems to work just fine although the wire that was on it was a little bent. There was only the wire on it and one extra not 2 replacement wires. Since it is difficult to find a cheese slicer in th stores and the price was right I am happy with it

Great for young cheeses, mediocre at best for older cheeses.For example, trying to use this to slice through a 3 year old cheddar? Forget it. A marble cheese from the grocery store? Easy.
