I installed a filter on my 200 gallon waterfall to catch dust and dirt that was carried in by the wind. The original Culligan filter kit included a 5 micron filter. That filter became clogged in about a week. Since I did not need to filter to that level I ordered some 10 micron filters. They each lasted 3 weeks to a month, and the water stayed clear, with only a small amount of Shock treatment added on a weekly basis. I thought I would try a 20 micron filter under the assumption that it should last longer than a 10 micron unit. Not the case! The two 20 micron units each lasted less than 4 days before the pump flow dropped to a dribble. Perhaps something in the pool chemicals reacted with the filter paper, but while the inside of the filter appeared distorted, it did not appear clogged or deteriorated. Perhaps this filter works fine in other applications, but it did not work in mine.

Works great with Watts whole house filter (I think that's 5000222). No issues. Seems like there's always a water break or other issues in the area..so very happy to have the protection. No noticeable reduction in pressure. Very pleased so far.
