This can opener works wonderfully. It took awhile to learn how to line it up but it works smoothly and the strong magnet holds the cover well. We have used this on small and large cans. You have to center the can, resting on the ridge and make sure the blade is positioned properly. The cutting piece can be removed for washing. I love that! It is a sturdy appliance and it saves my arthritic hands from the manual can openers that caused me so much pain.

I have used a lot of electric can openers that have been everything from just usable to being pretty good. This one is excellent! Put a can where it is supposed to go, lower the lever, can is open. This does what a can opener is supposed to do with ease.

This can opener is total garbage. I followed all directions and this can opener struggles to puncture the lid and when it does (which it doesn't 90% of the time), it turn the can about 1/4 of the way and then drops it our of the can opener. It has taken as many as 10 tries to get a can open and even then the lid of the can is not completely cut. It will always leave at least 1/2 inch of the lid uncut which I then have to bend and twist the lid to get it released from the can. It was the biggest waste of $50 that I ever spent. I expected a good product from Cuisinart but instead I got ripped off.

At the age of 64 3/4, my hands can't operate the handheld can opener without some pretty severe pain from arthritis. Years ago, it seemed like the kitchen wasn't 'normal' without an electric can opener. They say that everything comes back in style, but in this case, the need and the fix were a necessity. Works with ease and the stainless finish is attractive!

Works great. Truthfully I forgot it wasn’t necessary to keep depressing the handle. Eventually I stopped doing that & the opener had secured the can on it’s own. Very happy with this Cuisinart Deluxe Stainless Steel Can Opener.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike, in fact I liked it much more than I thought I would. Love the slightly heavy feel of this product being it's metal. That feel of durability. So easy to use and clean. Does exactly what it's supposed to. I'm glad I paid for the stainless steel version, I feel it's well worth the money!

I simply can't imagine not having an electric can opener. This one is a bit pricey but worth it. It's quiet, has a very even smooth cutting edge and does hold the can and lifts the lid with a magnet at the end of the process...even heavy cans. This opener is just about as perfect as it can get. I'm quite pleased and certainly highly recommend it. I was a bit hesistant due to the higher price, but it's worth it...and more! If you purchase, you won't be disappointed! Love it!

Purchased because it was the only one in stock and I needed asap due to injury. Works fine for small cans (up to 16 ounces) but for heavier cans, the cutting mechanism hesitates and stops. I do a lot of Italian cooking so use lots of large tomato cans. Quite disappointed, especially because I paid a very premium price.
